Katelyn Conrad began her classical training with the Long Beach Ballet Academy under the direction of David Wilcox in SouthernCalifornia. She competed as a finalist in the Youth America Grand Prix for many years and has placed first in both classical and contemporary categories, and was also a finalist for the Los Angeles Spotlight Awards in 2014. Katelyn became a trainee with the Joffrey Ballet Academy of Chicago and performed Alexei Kremnev’s Windy Sand with The Joffrey Studio Company in the Youth America Grand Prix’s Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow Gala in New York, as well as the Joffrey’s Spring Gala. The following season Katelyn joined Utah Metropolitan Ballet and has been featured in Heather Gray’s Other Side of the Door and Electric Noir, Alan Hineline’s Rhapsody and San Souci, Juliet in Jacqueline Colledge’s Romeo and Juliet, and Waltz Girl in Balanchine’s Serenade. Katelyn has interned with The Child Mind Institute in Manhattan for the “Brave Buddies” intensive, assisting and counseling children with selective mutism, and is currently getting her BS in Exercise Science online with California University of Pennsylvania.
