Jonathan Leonard

Jonathan is a native of the Greater Boston area, where he started his dance training under the direction of his mother, Donna Leonard. After graduating high school, he received a full scholarship to attend the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Jonathan spent one year in the ballet trainee program before being offered a spot in Joffrey Concert Group, the former studio company of JBS. Directed by Davis Robertson and Nicole Duffy Robertson, he danced in works by George Balanchine, Gerald Arpino, Dwight Rhoden, Africa Guzmán, and Gabrielle Lamb. Jonathan has danced professionally with Cleveland Ballet, The Sarasota Ballet, and Ballet Hispánico. He has been a guest artist with Ballet Theatre Company in West Hartford, CT and The Company of Dance Arts in Tinton Falls, NJ. This is his first season with New York Theatre Ballet.
