at Florence Gould Hall
NYTB has two short repertory seasons at Florence Gould Hall, February 9 & 10 and April 27 & 28 featuring World Premieres by London’s Richard Alston (Director of the Richard Alston Dance Company) and NYTB’s own Steven Melendez. Mr. Melendez began choreographing just two years ago and Deborah Jowitt in Dance Journal says in her review of the work, "Song Before Spring is an accomplishment." And from Carla Escoda in the Huffington Post, "Song Before Spring scored an important triumph." And in a review of Richard Alston’s work, Alastair Macaulay of The New York Times states: “Mr. Alston is the most musically astute choreographer alive."
