Joshua Andino-Nieto, of Spanish decent, was born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany. He started his studies at the John Cranko School, where he graduated with a diploma as a state proven Professional Classical Ballet Dancer. Mr. Andino-Nieto joined the ensemble of the Ballet Carmen Roche in Madrid, Spain in 2007. In 2009 he was accepted to the Fellowship Program at the Alvin Ailey School. He joined New York Theatre Ballet in 2010, and performed leading roles in Merce Cunningham's Septet, John Butler's Othello, Keith Michael's The Nutcracker, Matthew Neenan's Game Two, and Agnes de Mille's Oklahoma! After working in numerous projects and teaching ballet and modern dance in Germany, he rejoined NYTB in 2015.
