Guyonn Auriau graduated with honors with a national diploma of dance and B.F.A. from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. There she performed leading roles in Paul Chalmer's Romeo and Juliet and Vaslav Nijinsky's The Rite of Spring. In 2014 she joined the Ballet de Lorraine and performed in Merce Cunningham's Soundance, Martha Graham's Chronicle, William Forsythe's The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude, Twyla Tharp's In the Upper Room. In 2015 she joined the Martha Graham Dance Company and performed many Graham masterpieces as well as more contemporary works. Virginie Mecene chose Ms.Auriau for her new creation Fraxinus with Graham principal dancer Lloyd Knight. She also had the opportunity to perform duet Conversation of Lovers among other leading roles with the Graham junior company. This is her first Season with New York Theatre Ballet.
